US Airways cuts east coast fares

5th Jan 2006

US Airways is slashing fares to nearly 20 destinations connected to its eastern hubs of Charlotte, N.C.; Philadelphia; and Pittsburgh. The move comes in the wake of last month’s introduction of lowered Shuttle fares between New York La Guardia and Boston Logan and between New York La Guardia and Washington National. Fares are available immediately.

“As we continue to integrate our two airlines, combining consumer-friendly pricing with the reach and amenities of a coast-to-coast and international network has been our goal,” said Scott Kirby, executive vice president, sales and marketing. “Today’s announcement of lowered fares in our three eastern hubs is another step in that process.”
