Cendant appoints marketing officer

Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS) and a global provider of technology and distribution solutions for travel industry, has announced the arrival of Carla Raffo as its new chief marketing officer, International Markets (IM) B2B.  Raffo will be based in the Langley head office and starts the role with immediate effect.

Reporting into the International Markets’ chief executive officer, Gordon Wilson, Raffo will have responsibility for the creation and delivery of the product and marketing vision and strategies for all Cendant TDS product lines and channels (leisure, corporate, supplier) in the business to business arena.

Reporting into this newly created position will be Alison Bell, vice president, Leisure Channel; Jamie Cole, vice president, Supplier Channel; Kurt Knackstedt, vice president, Corporate Channel; Patsy Gettini, vice president, Enterprise Product Management and Anouche Smith-Gooden, Gullivers Travel Associates Product Management.

The company also plans to recruit a director of pricing who will report into Raffo when appointed.

Previously interim chief marketing officer for the Gartner Inc, Raffo has held a number of senior marketing roles in a range of high profile organisations including Oracle, PictureTel and Wang.

Raffo is Italian, married with three children and has also lived in Switzerland, the USA and Singapore.
