Hilton Inn at Penn wins AAA award

For the fifth consecutive year, the Hilton Inn at Penn has been awarded the prominent AAA Four-Diamond rating. This award is for its consistent high quality of service and facilities.

“The Hilton Inn at Penn has created an environment that is dedicated to guest satisfaction,” said David Newhart, general manager.

“Receiving this prestigious AAA Four-Diamond rating once again is truly an honor, as our hotel staff works hard towards providing a quality experience for our visitors.”

In November, the Hilton Inn at Penn began a 10-month renovation of its 238 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites that features the Hilton Serenity Collection, consisting of plush-top mattress, down comforter and pillows, and triple sheeting.

Hilton Serenity Bath renovations include brushed and hammered stainless steel amenities and Crabtree and Evelyn La Source bath products.

Guest rooms come fully equipped with two dual-line phones/voicemail, data ports, wired and wireless high-speed Internet access, and a spacious work station, creating a “virtual office” for business travelers.

The hotel offers 22,000 square feet of flexible meeting and banquet space perfectly suited for every business or social occasion. In January, the hotel will complete extensive renovations of its grand and junior ballrooms that feature new contemporary carpets, sconces, and chandeliers with more social appeal.

The hotel also offers a 15-seat boardroom with attached private lounge area, pre-function space, 18 additional small conference suites, and 24-hour business center. In addition, hotel guests enjoy premiere dining at the hotel’s award-winning Penne Restaurant and Wine Bar, The Living Room lounge, and 24-hour fitness center.

According to AAA, just 3.4 percent of the more than 32,000 AAA Rated lodgings were awarded the prestigious designation for 2006. To be considered for AAA rating and approval, lodgings must undergo a thorough inspection by one of AAA’s 65 full-time, trained, professional evaluators.

AAA, which evaluates nearly 57,000 properties annually, publishes their ratings in the AAA TourBook, on Internet Trip Tik at www.aaa.com , and in part on www.aaamaps.com.
