15th Nov 2005

Gulf Air has received two top awards at this year’s 12th Annual World Travel Awards, held at a gala ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London.
The airline has beaten the competition to win the Middle East Leading First Class Airline and has also won the World’s Leading Airport Lounge, for its First and Business Class lounge in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“This is a very proud moment for us. The entire team at Gulf Air has worked relentlessly to provide the best service in the sky and on the ground.Ê We have invested heavily in our refurbished planes, which has led to the creation of one of the best First Class products in the skies, and, with this award, its now officially the best in the Middle East,” says Gulf Air President and Chief Executive James Hogan.
“We have been an award-winning airline for some time now and these latest awards complement the industry and consumer recognition we have received over the last few years, including the MENA and Skytrax Awards and last week’s recognition as Travel and Tourism Company of the Year in the Arabian Business Awards. ÊWe don’t expect the recognition to stop here.
“We are constantly reviewing what we offer to our passengers, and now provide a host of service sand products which set us apart from the competition. From our award-winning Sky Chefs to our unique Sky Nanny, Gulf Air is now a leading boutique airline offering personal comfort and dedicated services, getting people where they want to go, when they want to, and in a style that no other airline can match.”
