Regent arrives in China

Regent International Hotels has announced the opening of its first luxury hotel in China. The Regent Shanghai.The 511-room hotel is owned by Summit Property Development Co. and
managed by Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific. Norman Rafelson, General
Manager of The Regent Shanghai, said: “As a major regional gateway city
and the economic capital of China, Shanghai is a strategic global
location for the Regent hotel brand. We are very privileged to be
working with Summit Property Development Co. for the opening of our
first Regent hotel in China.”

“This hotel will be a flagship for the company in the region and we are
looking forward to welcoming our guests with our strong personalized
service and ultimate luxury amenities that are synonymous with the
Regent brand,” Mr. Rafelson added.
