Cendant unveils airline web offering

17th Oct 2005

United Airlines and Cendant Travel Distribution Services today launched United GoBusiness.
“United GoBusiness was created for mid-market customers who are moving toward online booking solutions, value exclusive travel deals and want help in better managing their travel expenses,” said Graham Atkinson, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Alliances, for United.

“United GoBusiness represents an important step in lowering United’s distribution costs, sharing these savings with customers and injecting much-needed competition into the marketplace,” Atkinson added.

UnitedGoBusiness.com leverages the core Orbitz technology platform that is also being deployed by Cendant Travel Distribution Services across its businesses.  Cendant Travel Distribution Services will host the Web site, provide hotel, car and additional airline content, as well as customer service support.

“We are pleased to expand our partnership with United for this new corporate travel technology offering,” said Ken Esterow, president and CEO of Cendant’s Travel Industry Services, Americas.  “The UnitedGoBusiness.com corporate portal will provide United with an additional distribution channel, leveraging our award-winning Orbitz corporate technology services.”
