KLM confirms that all Northwest Airlines tickets that have already been
purchased, and those that are purchased in the future, will be
accepted and
honoured by KLM.  Passengers booking with Northwest Airlines in the UK
are automatically ticketed on KLM documents and as such are protected.
Passengers therefore face no financial risk when booking a Northwest Airlines flight, nor will their travel arrangements be unduly affected.
As a result of filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Northwest
Airlines is currently reviewing its network and has taken the decision to
suspend services from London Gatwick to Minneapolis St Paul from 30
October
until further notice.  Anyone booked to fly on this route after 30
October
will be re-booked with KLM to fly to Minneapolis St Paul via Amsterdam
Airport Schiphol from London Heathrow.  Northwest Airlines services
from
London Gatwick to Detroit are unaffected.
