easyJet and Europcar are offering travellers on easyJet flights the opportunity to purchase their car rental at the same time as their flights through ‘dynamic packaging’.
easyJet customers across Europe now have the option to buy their flight and car rental in one transaction, with one simple payment.  easyJet has already been offering “dynamically packaged” travel insurance to its UK market since March 2005, however, including car rental in the booking transaction is a new concept to low cost travel as it not only simplifies the booking process but also ensures the customer is covered under the “Package Travel Regulations”.

Europcar have been offering exclusive car rental deals to easyJet customers since 2003 via a dedicated web site. The new ‘dynamic packaging’ means that while customers are booking their flight, the car rental quote is simultaneously being calculated in the background. Once a customer has decided to buy tickets there is an option to add the car rental, creating the dynamic package.

Rachel Start, Online Partnership Manager at easyJet explains, “easyJet was one of the first low cost airlines to introduce travel insurance into the flight booking process earlier this year. We already offer a variety of travel products at easyJet.com, now with this new offering with Europcar, we are nearer to offering a complete travel solution to our customers.”
