WORLDHOTELS to Adopt ‘Flexible Pricing’ Strategy in 2006

WORLDHOTELS has announced plans to adopt a flexible pricing strategy for 2006, providing consortia and travel management partners with a guarantee of the best, unrestricted rate available.
Christian Fiederer, Vice President EMEA from WORLDHOTELS, said, ‘Travel Buyers are heading into the toughest hotel negotiating season in years - a climate created by a strong rebound in business travel and overall occupancy and limited hotel supply growth. This pricing approach will move buyers away from traditional fixed rates to a structure that better responds to market conditions throughout the year.

‘Because the 2006 season is poised to be a sellers market, we believe it’s the right time to move to flexible pricing, providing our agency partners with a guarantee of the best rates.’

WORLDHOTELS will display its member hotel’s best available rate along with the Consortia Rate as a ceiling rate to all consortia via the GDS, with the consortium deciding which of the two rates is the better value for its customers.
