Virgin Raise the Stakes in Vegas

Virgin Atlantic Airways has added an additional Las Vegas service increasing its flights per week to Las Vegas to six. The new service departs from Gatwick every Friday from 9 September 2005.

Steve Ridgway, Chief Executive of Virgin Atlantic said:

“I am delighted to announce the sixth direct weekly service to Las Vegas.  Since introducing the first ever direct scheduled service between London and Las Vegas in June 2000 Virgin Atlantic has carried almost 600,000 passengers on the route and we are certain its popularity will continue to grow with both business and leisure passengers.”

Flights depart Gatwick Airport at 10:45, arriving into McCarran International Airport at 13:30.  Flights depart Las Vegas at 16:10 arriving back into Gatwick the following morning at 10:00.  The Boeing 747-400 operating this route is configured with 14 Upper Class, 58 Premium Economy and 379 Economy seats.

Virgin Atlantic aims to further increase its services up to a daily direct service in the near future.  Virgin Atlantic currently flies to 26 destinations worldwide.
