Virgin Offer Spa Experience

The centrepiece of
Virgin Atlantic’s new Heathrow Clubhouse, which opens today, is Cowshed at the Clubhouse.  This new spa area will set new standards for the industry with the most comprehensive spa facilities of any airline lounge, including a sauna, steam rooms, tanning booth and hair dressing salon This luxurious space, designed to help passengers unwind, has dark grey Welsh slate floors, black Bizzazza mosaic tiled walls and splashes of autumnal colours, emanating a feeling of Japanese Zen.
The airline has teamed up with Cowshed, Soho House and Babington House’s spa brand and the Bumble and bumble hair salon on its new spa facilities.
Sir Richard Branson, chairman of Virgin Atlantic, commented,
“We are delighted to offer this fantastic spa area in our new Heathrow Clubhouse.  Virgin Atlantic was the first airline to offer passengers beauty treatments in our Clubhouses and onboard our flights 15 years ago and is proud to move with the growing spa culture by offering our passengers the ultimate airline lounge spa experience.
“Both Cowshed and Bumble and bumble already have a cult following in London and New York and we are sure that passengers will be impressed!”
Jean-Michel Dixte, The General Manager of the Clubhouse, commented:
“By flying with Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class you’ll arrive at your destination in tip top shape, tanned, buffed, coifed and indulged from top to toe.  We are sure that with Cowshed in the Clubhouse, flying with Virgin Atlantic will become the most luxurious aspect of your beauty regime.”
Cowshed has created a selection of exclusive treatments especially for Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class passengers.
There is a range of Cowgroom treatments offered from the comfort of a specially designed chair.  Each one begins with a signature shoulder massage and lasts 30 minutes. Treatments on offer include a facial named Fresh as a Daisy, designed for passengers who need a refreshing and energising lift or have been travelling and find their skin dehydrated, or On the Hoof, a pedicure designed to refresh and revitalise tired legs.  Male passengers may prefer the Rhinestone Cowboy treatment - a deep cleanse, wet shave and massage guaranteed to ensure a refreshing glow for the flight ahead.
And for those passengers who do not have much time to spare, Cowshed offers express treatments including a 15 minute relaxing massage, an eyebrow tidy or a quick file and paint of nails.
Virgin Atlantic has also teamed up with New York hair salon Bumble and bumble, one of the most influential in the industry. Bumble and bumble trained stylists will offer passengers a stylish haircut, blow dry or quick dry styling using the latest product application techniques.
There’s also a St Tropez tanning booth, where passengers can opt for an automated tan or have it sprayed on by a professional therapist.
We recommend that passengers allow enough time before their flight to use the rest of the spa facilities in the new Clubhouse.  There is a sauna, six steam rooms and a spa pool or the opportunity to relax in a robe on one of the poolside recliners.
