Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has launched a new interactive Online Career Center for anyone interested in pursuing a hotel career with one of North America’s leading upscale brands. The website provides students, experienced professionals and any other interested parties with real-time job postings at any of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts locations worldwide.
Located on Fairmont’s main website, Fairmont’s career center also includes detailed information on an abundance of areas including hotel departments and positions, management training program, internships and apprenticeships, student work experience programs (SWEP), career development, educational assistance, and recognition and rewards.
The new career center is the cornerstone of a larger employment branding initiative by the company. Articulated under the concept of It’s Never Just Another Day, the goal of the refined positioning is to show that a typical day at Fairmont is anything but. The newly minted concept will also be supported in Fairmont’s recruitment advertising and video recorded employee testimonials on the career center’s homepage.
According to Carolyn Clark, Fairmont’s senior vice-president of Human Resources, the company’s new career center differs greatly from its industry peers. ‘Our designs for the site were much grander than a search engine, as we wanted to educate applicants about Fairmont’s culture of respect and integrity, while at the same time giving them a comprehensive overview of the rewards and benefits that Fairmont colleagues receive. Added Clark, ‘Our colleagues are very loyal, passionate and proud to be associated with the Fairmont brand. In fact, many of our employees have worked for the company for 20, 30, or even 40 years. Our new career site underscores the importance we place on recruiting top talent, but it is also a testament to our philosophy of fostering long term relationships with our employees.’
