Hilton Experience Hits Home

Starting today, travelers can experience the luxurious comforts of the Hilton guestroom even after check-out. For the first time in its 80-year history, the hotel chain is making its custom-designed, luxury in-room items available for purchase, offering guests the opportunity to re-create the experience of a Hilton guestroom at home.
The new Hilton to Home(TM) program provides a vehicle for consumers to purchase, via the Internet and printed in-room collateral, plush Hilton guestroom items, including the ultra-comfortable Hilton Suite Dreams(R) mattress and box spring, luxury Hilton Serenity Collection(TM) bedding items, Crabtree & Evelyn La Source(R) bath product line and the exclusive Hilton Family clock radio.
“Our guests enjoy pampering themselves with superior amenities during their stay and they often inquire about how they can purchase their favorite in-room items, be it the pillows, bedding, or even the bathrobe,” said Jeffrey Diskin, senior vice president of brand management & marketing for Hilton. “Now, for the first time, we are providing our customers the chance to indulge in our guestroom experience in the comfort of their own homes.”
These guestroom items are an example of the overall $500 million investment that Hilton Hotels Corporation and its franchise property owners are making to enhance their hotels over the next few years. In 2005 alone, Hilton will be opening 15 properties and plans to renovate more than 40 others.
