Emirates Brings in the Shoppers

Emirates Airline, key sponsor and official
carrier of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) for the 10th time running, in tie-up
with MasterCard and luxury hospitality group Jumeirah, has attracted a
record number of visitors to the shopping festival this year. Attractive joint promotions are being run across eight countries including
Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia
for the duration of the Dubai Summer Surprises, where MasterCard card users
will have an opportunity to win a luxury trip to Dubai, flying Business
Class on Emirates and staying at one of Jumeirah’s landmark properties.

A staunch supporter of DSS since the event’s inception, the Dubai-based
international airline successfully promotes the event in over 70 countries
through innovative marketing activities, including value-for-money travel


With nearly a month still to go, demand for Emirates’ DSS travel packages
has already exceeded total sales of similar packages in 2004 by 10 per cent.



Commenting on the airline’s promotional efforts and continued support for
the festival, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Emirates Executive Vice President Commercial
