AirTran Offers New Vegas Service

AirTran Airways today began new nonstop
flights from both Bishop International Airport in Flint and Akron-Canton
Airport in Northeast Ohio. The new flights operate five times weekly and are
served by the airline’s popular Boeing 737 aircraft.“Both Akron-Canton and Flint have been tremendously successful markets for
AirTran Airways, and we’re very pleased to expand our nonstop service
offerings from each airport,” said Kevin Healy, AirTran Airways’ vice
president of planning. “Leisure and business travelers from these areas will
enjoy the convenient access to all of the entertainment excitement in Las
Vegas.”
“We are thrilled that AirTran Airways is adding Las Vegas to their growing
list of nonstop destinations from Akron-Canton,” said Akron-Canton Airport
Director Fred Krum. “They provide exactly what Northeast Ohio travelers
expect, low fares and great service; and we offer the best airport experience
in the region. It’s a winning combination. Thank you AirTran for making us a
better way to go.”
“AirTran Airways continues to take the initiative to ‘step-up-to-the-
plate’ and bring our passengers the nonstop destinations that they’ve been
asking us for,” said Bishop International Airport Director Jim Rice. “They’re
an incredible airline to work with, and a terrific product to fly.  Their
success in the Southeast Michigan region can be directly attributed to their
efforts to deliver a quality product, with friendly service, at an affordable
price.”
