John Wells is GM for Hilton Chicago O’Hare

John Wells, a 20-year hospitality industry veteran, has been named to the position of general manager of the 858-room Hilton Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Wells has served as general manager of the Hilton Boston Back Bay since 2001. In his new capacity, John reports to Tim Benolken, area vice president, Hilton North Central Region.
Wells brings a diverse background in hotel operations to his new role. His broad experience includes serving in management positions at city center properties as well as resorts, convention and airport hotels across the United States. His tenure with Hilton includes postings at such noteworthy properties as the Hilton San Diego Resort and the Hilton Waikoloa Village(R). While serving as General Manager of the Hilton Boston Back Bay, Wells was successful in achieving a loyalty index score that ranked the property in the top 10% of the Hilton branded hotels in the country.
Wells received his bachelor of science degree from Ohio State University. An active member of the communities in which he has lived and worked, he most recently served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau since 2004 and is a member of the SKAL, an association of travel and tourism professionals.
