Jody Proves She Really is a Diamond

Jody Diamond, vice president of Cheryl Andrews Marketing Communications in Coral Gables, FL was presented with an Appreciation Award from the Curaçao Hospitality and Tourism Association (CHATA) at their 2005 Annual Award Dinner. The ceremony is the highlight of the organisation’s tourism events and serves to recognise their most valued tourism partners. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Award Dinner.

“Jody pays tribute to her name by being a ‘diamond’ performer in the promotion of Curacao and in generating extraordinary promotional value for the Curacao hospitality and tourism industry in the US market,” commented CHATA Executive Vice President Mr. Don Werdekker regarding why Diamond was chosen as one of this year’s award recipients.

Originally from Los Angeles, California where she worked as a film and entertainment publicist, Diamond moved to Florida in 2001 and joined CAMC. She has since been promoted to Vice President of the organisation and has been the key executive on the Curaçao account since the company began representation of the island in February 2002.

“I really have a deep love and appreciation for the island, which makes it easy for me to do my job,” Diamond remarked.

“I’m lucky in that I get to spend so much time in Curacao because of my work. Actually, I probably spend more time there than in Miami - so much that it has really become like a second home to me. People joke that I know the island as well as or even better than most locals…but it’s probably true!”
