Small Luxury Hotels of the World has announced that it is to launch a range of monetary gift certificates aimed at both the promotions and incentive market, as well as the top end of the consumer gift sector.
“Research within our existing customer database, coupled with an opportunity to introduce new consumers to the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) global portfolio meant that a gift vouchers launch was a natural evolution for our brand.” Says Richard Curtis, Vice President of Marketing EMEA at Small Luxury Hotels.
“An encouraging 76 per cent of our most frequent guests indicated that they would be keen to purchase SLH Gift Certificates and nearly 80 per cent said that they would want to give them to family and friends”, he adds. “By making gift certificates available we will not only generate incremental revenue for our properties but also have a strong opportunity for building brand awareness - particularly if referred by current brand champions. Equally importantly, is the opportunity we now have to make our mark in the luxury sector of the promotions and incentive market.”
The launch is to be supported by an advertising and specialist public relations campaign, as well as being promoted through the various pipelines available in the SLH network - The Club of Small Luxury Hotels of the World guest recognition programme, Luxury Escapes Newsletter, the website www.slh.com/gifts, plus directories and regional marketing activities.
“We will also be targeting selected luxury consumer titles in the travel, weddings and gift sectors and are already in discussions with a number of potential brand partners.” Curtis adds.
