Emirates, the Dubai-based international
airline, is to be the Official Carrier for this year’s Austrian Golf Open
being held at the Fontana Golf Club near Vienna from 30th August to 4th
September.Vienna is an important market for Emirates and the airline is proud to
announce its sponsorship of this European Challenge Tour event. Emirates
believes that sports sponsorship is a great way to connect with its
passengers by sharing their passions and the Austrian Golf Open is a perfect
extension of the airline’s existing sports sponsorship activities around the
world.

Edwin Weindorfer, Executive Director of the event organisers, Emotion
Management said: “We are looking forward to a long term partnership with
Emirates Airline and their engagement in the Austrian Golf Open. It is very
exciting to have this new partnership and we will work closely together to
position our event as the number one professional golf event within the

captain, Bernhard Langer, and Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie, in the pre
