Donald Bremner was recently named Food and Beverage Manager for the a href=“http://new-york-barclay.intercontinental.com/” target=“_top”>InterContinental The Barclay New York. ÊIn this position, Bremner will lead the development and implementation of all food and beverage programs at the 686-room hotel in midtown Manhattan.
Bremner is the Executive Manager in charge of a 15,000 square-foot banquet operation, a 65 cover restaurant and bar, room service, minibar, kitchen and stewarding. Although small, the food and beverage organization within the Barclay is an important revenue stream for the InterContinental brand and Bremner will be responsible for the continued development of this flagship operation.
Bremner joins The Barclay from the InterContinental Resort & Casino San Juan, where he was the Front Office Manager for two years.Ê Prior to that, he was the Regional Operations Analyst, Eastern US and the Caribbean, for the InterContinental Hotel Group, and was also based at the InterContinental The Barclay New York.Ê Bremner began his career in 1995 at The Forum Hotel London, and has been with InterContinental since 1996, holding various positions in the food and beverage department and front office management, as well as a year spent as Assistant Manager at The Barclay.Ê Originally from Scotland, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Aberdeen University.
