Howard Frost Joins Traventec

Howard Frost, former Travelink sales director and Anite director of marketing, has today been appointed VP Sales for Traventec, one of the largest travel software development companies in Europe.

The appointment is Traventec’s first big step in building a multi-million pound business from the UK.

Traventec has successfully operated in Ireland and Germany, for over six years serving vertically integrated groups (VIGs), airlines and top 25 tour operators in the leisure travel sector. Customers include Amadeus, Lufthansa and Holiday Extras.

The business specialises in helping travel companies expand their markets and increase efficiency by optimising their use of technology.

Says Frost: “I see huge potential for the company and I am looking forward to the challenge of growing Traventec’s business in the UK and beyond. The market out there has yet to discover the value Traventec can deliver and it is my job to facilitate this discovery.”

“My move to Traventec coincides with the Eyefortravel Distribution Summit in London from 7-8 June and we are hosting a Guinness Reception at our stand from 5.30pm on the first day. I hope to see many familiar faces there.”

Greg Cawley, Traventec CEO added: “The UK market forms the basis of our growth strategy over the coming years and we intend to build up a prominent sales presence supported by business analysts and technical architects to fulfil the early parts of a software project engagement.

“Howard’s professionalism, experience and relationships will play a crucial role in generating this business, and while the initial focus will be on the UK, we see potential in other European markets also.”

Frost has worked in the travel sector for over 24 years, at companies including Reed Travel Group, BT/Prestel, Cygnus Computer Group and Tourplan.
