Once again, the rest of the world was focused on the St. Lucia Jazz as it staged its 14th Festival which commenced on April 29 and concluded May 8, 2005. Caribbean Star Airlines was named Silver sponsor of the festival for the fourth consecutive year. The airline facilitates the producers of St. Lucia Jazz by transporting artistes and crew as well as hundreds of international and regional jazz fans who converge on the island to celebrate jazz. Also, with its recently launched nonstop service between St. Vincent and Puerto Rico sister airline Caribbean Sun for the first time contributed significantly towards the Heineken Jazz Fest 2005.

Privately held Caribbean Sun Airlines Inc., based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, launched its maiden flight in January 2003.

Its sister airline, Caribbean Star Airlines Ltd., was incorporated in Antigua in January 2000.  Together, the airlines serve 17 Caribbean destinations and transport over 80,000 passengers a month throughout the region.
