Scott Gibson has been named Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Distribution at Best Western International. Gibson brings more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry technology sector to his new role along with a reputation for planning and producing solid technology infrastructures. As CIO and Senior Vice President of Distribution, Gibson will lead the Information Technology, Global Channel Distribution and Worldwide Delivery departments from the company headquarters in Phoenix.
Gibson has held a variety of leadership positions throughout the hospitality industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Kerzner International Resorts. His primary responsibilities at Kerzner included driving technology leadership for the company’s Paradise Island and U.S. operations, including the development of a new reservations system.
