CTO Looks For New Deputy Secretary General

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) is seeking to fill the position of Deputy Secretary General. The individual selected will assist the Secretary General in the overall day-to-day running of the organisation.  More specifically, his or her duties will include:
(1) Oversight of the work of the various departments, including monitoring of the outputs of the departments;
(2) Administrative oversight of the organisation and (3)
Overall responsibility for membership services of the organisation. Extensive travel will form part of the normal duties of the post.

Qualifications and Experience:

A Master’s level degree is preferred. A First degree will be considered
together with at least ten (10) years relevant working experience, at a senior level, in Tourism, Management, International Relations or Public Administration.

A minimum of ten (10) years working at a senior management level

Extensive knowledge of the Caribbean region and its tourism products and services,

Excellent writing and oral communication skills,

Past record demonstrating strong managerial, administrative and interpersonal skills,

Considerable experience dealing with the international donor community and demonstrated ability in project identification, preparation, management and proposal writing,

Considerable experience dealing with governments and planning, policy
development and implementation,

A high level of competence regarding the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for business purposes would be a definite asset,

Oral and written proficiency in Spanish or French would be a definite asset.
