Sydney Set to Reap Rewards of New Hilton

Sydney’s newest upscale hotel, the Hilton Sydney yesterday confirmed that it is set to open its doors for business on 15 July 2005. As construction nears completion, Hilton will gain possession of the hotel from Leighton Contractors on a progressive basis, culminating in the 15 July opening.Already accepting bookings, the AUD$400 million hotel will have four dedicated levels of flexible conference and convention space totalling 4,000 square metres. With the capacity to accommodate meetings for a handful of people or a conference for up to 3000 delegates, Hilton Sydney will be the largest event hotel in Australia and will be a new and valuable contributor to the local economy.

The hotel will be the destination for Sydneysiders and visitors alike, with a “brasserie” style restaurant, stylish new bar Zeta, as well as the return of a Sydney favourite - The Marble Bar. The hotel will also feature the city’s largest Livingwell health club and spa.
