Irvine Marriott Showcases New Look

The Irvine Marriott
one of many hotels in Southern California undergoing makeovers to unveil
the new look and feel of Marriott—announced today the completion of its
$7.5 million renovation. It now boasts 485 remodeled guest rooms and
suites, an expanded Concierge Lounge, and a state-of-the-art fitness
center.Guest rooms now feature the recently-announced new Marriott bed
accompanied by a clean, contemporary design, including red accent walls,
expanded shower stalls, marble bathroom countertops, and flat-screen
televisions on the Concierge level. The white-on-white plush bedding
consists of an 11-inch mattress, featherbed topper, 300-thread-count
Egyptian cotton sheets, a down blanket, six down pillows, and a colorful
bed scarf.

Additionally, the fitness center was expanded to complement new spa-like
services—fluffy towels and complimentary fresh fruit—and the latest
in exercise equipment. The new treadmills feature wireless entertainment
systems and personal viewing screens to keep guests entertained and
motivated throughout their workout.

Earlier this year, the Irvine Marriott added Marriott’s new health and
wellness program, Great Health-Fit For You, and pre-arrival planning to
its offerings. It also features a reinvented lobby, a project that was
completed in the spring of 2003, that includes a new Martini and Wine Bar,
an expanded Sushi Bar, and residential meeting space.

The new look and feel of Marriott incorporates the latest in design,
technology, culinary expertise, service and comfort. Guests will begin to
experience it across all brands this year.
