CNG Extends US Agency Distribution Reach

CNG Travel Group and AgentWare have signed an agreement to enable US travel agents to offer their customers competitive rates at over 25,000 hotels worldwide and earn above-average commission.AgentWare will integrate CNG’s private rate hotel inventory with its existing travel data solutions, making it available to AgentWare desktops used by corporate and leisure travel agents throughout the USA.

Travel agents use AgentWare’s Trip Console and WebPoint applications to search for, compare and book airline inventory not available in the GDSs, and will now be able to access and book competitive hotel rates. Reservations can be completed directly with participating hotels and linked seamlessly with back office processes.

The AgentWare agreement echoes European deals struck by CNG with Telme Farebase and Gateway.

“CNG’s focused approach to enlarging both hotel content and distribution is a key factor in our worldwide expansion plans,” said CNG Travel Group CEO Finbarr Power.

AgentWare President and CEO Ivan Bekkers added: “CNG’s hotel inventory fits seamlessly with the AgentWare model and its current airline inventory, Both companies strive to lower distribution costs for travel suppliers and improve revenue opportunities for agency users, and can do so through the extensive inventory offerings resulting from this agreement.”
