Galileo Connects with KLM

Galileo International
has signed an agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) to secure access to all the carrier’s fares until December 2007. Galileo-affiliated travel agencies in Europe, Middle East and Africa will have full access to all available KLM fares, including their lowest classes and web fares, directly through the Galileo system.

This new agreement is further evidence of Galileo’s ongoing strategy to create a sustainable distribution model that creates a win/win/win situation for all parties; airlines get wider distribution, travel agencies gain access to the best content in the most effective channel, and Galileo continues to play a pivotal role in travel distribution.

“Content is key to our agency customers, and access to that content in an effective way is critical. The level of content and its effective distribution is a key differentiator for Galileo and we are delighted to be able to deliver again on this essential customer requirement.” Said Bryan Conway, VP Airline Services EMEA, Galileo International.

Paul Gregorowitsch, Executive Vice President KLM said “The agency distribution channel continues to play a pivotal role in our overall strategy and our agreement with Galileo enables us to continue to serve this channel with the highest level of content, while at the same time allowing us to achieve our business goals.  Galileo has been able to deliver excellent results on this agreement resulting in a reduction of our distribution costs.”
