America West Inaugurates New Nonstop Flights

4th Mar 2005

America West Airlines will
celebrate the start of its nonstop service between San Diego and Canada’s
Pacific Rim when flight 6540 departs this evening for beautiful Vancouver,
Canada. Vancouver joins the Mexican cities of Puerto Vallarta and Los
Cabos as international destinations that are linked to San Diego by
convenient, nonstop flights on America West. “America West already enjoys a network unparalleled by any other low-cost
carrier,” said Dion Flannery, vice president, scheduling and route
planning. “Our nonstop service between San Diego and Vancouver gives our
many FlightFund members in Southern California a convenient way to reach
another great international travel destination.”

America West Express, operated by Mesa Airlines, will provide the new
service utilizing the 86-seat Canadair Regional Jet 900 (CRJ900).
