“KuBu” is a Balinese word that depicts a ‘small hut’ and is also the name of a secret beach known only to a select few. Kubu the spa is the brainchild of Eileen Soriton, of Indonesian descent and a qualified massage therapist specialising in Balinese Spa Rituals. Together with business partner Sasha Becejac, the pair have created the hottest destination in the UK for a truly genuine Balinese experience (ancient beauty and body treatments formerly reserved solely for Balinese royalty will be in abundance at KuBu).

Contemporary yet filled with history, Kubu offers exclusive pampering in a wonderful listed building, which has been re-designed using dark wood walnut flooring, 100 year old Javanese Teak wood furniture and a ceiling lined with suspended boat sails, giving one a feeling of literally floating away.

KuBu feels like a cocoon yet is spacious at the same time. The KuBu ‘senses experience’ extends to every part of the fantastic 2000sq ft premises with the use of tactile natural materials such as wood and stone, a subtle yet striking mix in shades of Khaki and Javanese antique furniture. The treatment suites are extremely generous spaces, each hosting a beautiful free-standing bath for post-treatment flower petal soaks. The luxury extends to the relaxation room, where you can de-stress before and after a treatment on four-poster antique Javanese day beds.

KuBu Signature Ritual:

? Begin your heavenly ritual with a soothing foot bath in a flower petal and essential oil water bowl. Unwind as your therapist massages the toes, heels and calves.

? Move onto the cocooning effect of a hand made organic Balinese body scrub or mask, before indulging in the ultimate pampering of a KuBu signature Traditional Balinese or Ayung Batu Hot Stone massage.

? Complete your KuBu experience with a leisurely soak in a flower petal milk bath, with of course, a glass of champagne and some delicious freshly made KuBu chocolates.
