Independence Air Begins New Airbus Service

Independence Air begins
low-fare service to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) today
with three daily non-stop roundtrips to/from its hub at Washington Dulles
International Airport. The flights are being served by the airline’s new
Airbus A319 aircraft, featuring all-leather seating in a single- class
configuration with comfortable legroom. Ft. Myers becomes Independence Air’s fifth Florida destination—joining
Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville and West Palm Beach.

All flights are available for sale on the Independence Air website at
FLYi.com. All fares are sold one-way and a Saturday night stay is NOT
required for any fare. Seat assignments can be reserved at the time of
booking and flights are not overbooked.

Independence Air currently serves a total of 39 destinations. In addition
to the new Florida service described above, non-stop flights from
Washington to Las Vegas will begin March 1st. Las Vegas will become
Independence Air’s first destination in the West, with service to San
Diego beginning April 14th and service to Los Angeles, San Francisco, San
Jose, and Seattle beginning May 1st.

The Independence Air hub at Washington Dulles is the largest low-fare hub
in America in terms of total departures. For more information about FLYi,
