Fuel Farm Completed at Oakland

Business Jet Center at Oakland
International Airport has completed the construction of a new fuel farm,
which allows the fixed base operator (FBO) to store 40,000 gallons of Jet
A fuel and 12,000 gallons of Avgas at the facility—an increase of more
than 300% over the fixed-base operator’s previous capacity for Jet A fuel.
The additional above-ground, Fireguard fuel storage tanks were added to
handle the increased traffic to the FBO. In late December 2004, Business
Jet Center sold its one-millionth gallon of fuel at Oakland International
Airport. “Our customer base is increasing dramatically, and our expanded fuel
capability will allow us to more efficiently and quickly serve our
customers,” said Sheila Opitz, general manager at Business Jet Center
Oakland. “Additionally, we chose Fireguard tanks, because they are
considered to be the safest in the industry.”

Business Jet Center Oakland has also recently completed a $4 million
renovation of the airport’s original terminal, which serves as the FBO’s
executive terminal. Business Jet Center had been operating out of
temporary facilities at the airport since August 2003.

Just 20 minutes from downtown San Francisco, Business Jet Center Oakland
is located at 9351 Earhart Road, just west of the main entrance to the
Oakland International Airport.

Founded seven years ago at Dallas Love Field, Business Jet Center is a
full-service fixed base operator with locations in Dallas, Texas, and
Oakland, California. Business Jet Center has been consistently recognized
by prominent industry publications as a world-class FBO.
