Tamarijn Aruba completes renovations to it’s lobby

The Tamarijn Aruba has completed renovations on its lobby. The expanded lobby now boasts a modern look with clean simple lines, bright colors, slate-colored and gold tone Italian porcelain tiles, new decorative, focal and ambient lighting, andÊoriginal artwork.ÊÊThe registration area features a dynamic front desk with gray-tone Avonite on top and multi-coloured lighted blocks facing out. Suspension lighting and vertical inset niches behind the front desk complete the look. Expediting the check-in process,Êa new centralised computer reservation system was recently implemented.

Across from the registration area, and opening to a courtyard with covered seating that provides views out towards the Caribbean Sea, is the concierge desk. In keeping with the lobby’s clean lines this area,Êwhich houses the custom-built concierge, promotional and special events stations includes built-in sunken lounge seating with ambient lighting above. The lobby also features contemporary Italian-style furnishing with vibrant-colored upholstery and high-backed rattan sofas and chairs.

Throughout the lobby guests will find original paintings, photography and sculpture by international and local artists Adrian Rekkers, Frenk Graat, Paul van Driel, Anna Maria Nava, Luis A. Castaño Benjumea and Gilbert Senchi.Ê Of particular note is Gilbert Senchi’s steel masterpiece “Victory,” which was presented to His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco during the opening of The Links at Divi Aruba 9-hole golf course in late October 2004.

For guests wishing to keep in touch, a new Internet Lounge has been added to the lobby area. The air-conditioned glass-enclosed lounge, next to the concierge,Êoffers twelve stations each with high-speedÊInternet access plus a library (charges for Internet use apply).
