Best Western Drops the Green Flag

Best Western International, the Official
Hotel of NASCAR, celebrates the start of the 2005 season next month by
dropping the green flag on its new RaceFan Rate. Beginning February 1, customers will be able to take advantage of this
select year-round rate at Best Western hotels throughout North America by
visiting http://www.bestwesternracing.com/ and entering “RaceFan” in the
promotion code box, or by calling 1-800-WESTERN and asking for the RaceFan
Rate*.

To celebrate its premiere, Best Western is providing race devotees with
another special offer. Guests who stay twice at the RaceFan Rate between
February 1 and April 30, 2005, will earn 1,200 bonus points in the chain’s
Speed Rewards(TM) loyalty program—enough to redeem a free night stay or
a $50 gift certificate to the NASCAR.com Superstore.

“NASCAR enthusiasts are found in every corner of North America, as is Best
Western,” said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of marketing. “The
RaceFan Rate and accompanying ‘Stay 2 Times’ promotion have been created
to recognize this large and loyal fan base. Now, more than 75 million
NASCAR fans can enjoy the benefits of staying at the world’s largest hotel
chain everyday through value-added programs designed specifically with
them in mind.”

“Best Western is providing a tremendous offer to the large number of
NASCAR fans who travel not only to our races, but regularly on both
business and leisure throughout the year,” said Justin Johnson, Managing
Director of Partnership Marketing at NASCAR. “The RaceFan Rate is another
great example of a NASCAR sponsor offering valuable, high-quality services
to fans of the sport.”

To be eligible for the ‘Stay 2 Times’ promotion, guests must be Speed
Rewards members. In addition, individuals are required to register prior
to their first stay at http://www.bestwesternracing.com/ or by calling
1-888-BW RACE1 and mentioning offer code NASRATE. The customer’s Speed
Rewards membership card or number also must be provided at the time of
reservation, or upon hotel check-in. Fans who are not already Speed
Rewards members can sign up for the free program when registering for the
offer. For complete terms and conditions, visit

Launched in March 2004, Speed Rewards is a frequent guest program tailored

which are redeemable for NASCAR-licensed merchandise such as jackets, caps
—and race-related items such as Pro Scan headsets and tickets to the
