Expedia’s WWTE Technology Benefits Omni Hotels

Expedia today
announced that its WWTE(TM) technology now powers vacation package
bookings for Omni Hotels via www.omnihotels.com. With WWTE, Omni
Hotels boosts its customers’ ability to book a complete vacation package
at any of its 40 luxury hotels and resorts directly on the hotel’s Web
site.

“Omni Hotels has a mission to constantly exceed our guests’ expectations
through innovative offerings,” said Tom Chevins, Omni Hotels’ senior vice
president of marketing and sales. “With WWTE powering a full range of
vacation options, we provide our customers a variety of alternatives and a
more engaging experience on our site, which we believe will increase
brand loyalty while contributing to our bottom line.”

The WWTE private-label service enables Expedia(R)‘s suppliers to provide
flexible packages on their branded direct Web sites for a fraction of the
time and cost of building these services internally. This agreement
strengthens the lodging, airfare, and car rental capabilities already
available on omnihotels.com and adds in-destination activities such as
snorkeling, tours, and dinner reservations, making omnihotels.com a
full-service travel site.

“WWTE provides an efficient means for our suppliers to grow closer to
their loyal customer base as they expand their online travel offerings,”
said Tony Gonchar, vice president, private label at Expedia, Inc. “Now
Omni Hotels guests have more choices, and Omni Hotels has the opportunity
to convert that experience into long-term brand loyalty. WWTE is just
another example of the commitment Expedia is making to its suppliers by
investing in a complete travel solution that helps them grow and thrive in
today’s increasingly competitive marketplace.”
