Cybelle Brown promoted to VP of sales and marketing at BET

St. Lucian-born Cybelle Brown is the new Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BET Event Productions and BET Digital Networks, both subsidiary companies of Black Entertainment Television, now owned by the largest media company in the world, Viacom.
Brown received her New Year promotion after four successful years as Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, managing and promoting a series of popular annual music festivals in the Caribbean and elsewhere and successfully using the media resources of BET and Viacom to generate awareness of these events and their venues among millions of consumers across the US and the Caribbean.

“Cybelle has played an integral role in the growth and financial success of both companies over the last four years and we look forward to her continued efforts in the years ahead,” said Paxton Baker, Executive Vice President of BET Event Productions and BET Digital Networks.

Events under Cybelle’s management include the Bermuda Music Festival, The India Jazz & Heritage Tour, the St. Lucia Jazz Festival, The Cayman Islands Jazz Festival, The Turks and Caicos Music and Poetry Festival and the Anguilla Tranquility Festival.

She will continue managing all sales and marketing operations of BET Event Productions, along with advertising sales and marketing for BET Digital Networks, which include BET Jazz and BET Gospel. Her work includes partnering with major US cable operators to promote and launch BET’s Digital Networks; and maintaining the profitability of these networks by achieving aggressive annual advertising revenue
