Independence Air Announces Its First Route to the West

Independence Air announced today it will introduce new non-stop service
from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to McCarran
International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas beginning March 1, 2005. Flights
will be operated with the company’s new 132-passenger Airbus A319 aircraft. The schedule to Las Vegas will include two daily non-stops from Dulles
with sale fares as low as $89 one way for tickets between Washington and
Las Vegas purchased by January 25, 2005 at FLYi.com or through travel

Las Vegas will become Independence Air’s first destination in the West,
with additional destinations expected to be announced as the airline
continues to add new Airbus aircraft to its fleet throughout the first
half of this year. The Independence Air Airbus A319s feature all-leather
seating in a single-class configuration with comfortable legroom.

Independence Air currently serves a total of 38 destinations, with Airbus
service to West Palm Beach, FL to begin February 1st and Fort Myers, FL
service to be added on February 17th. The Independence Air hub at
Washington Dulles is the largest low-fare hub in America in terms of total
