AirPlus International and BNP Paribas Form Partnership

AirPlus International and BNP Paribas, first bank and services group in France, have entered into a new strategic partnership in the French market. Together, they will provide corporate customers with a unique package of business travel payment options and information management solutions that will help their corporate customers manage their travel costs more efficiently.

Core elements of the new partnership are the Carte Logée BNP Paribas AirPlus and the Carte Affaires BNP Paribas. The Carte Logée BNP Paribas AirPlus is a payment solution that will enable companies to break down invoices by more than nine criteria including cost centre, department, project or employee number. For travel and entertainment expenses on a business trip, travellers can use the Carte Affaires BNP Paribas. Companies will also have access to a state-of-the-art management information system that can help them spot potential savings while offering an ideal basis for negotiations. They can therefore significantly reduce their business travel costs.

Florence Robinet-Nemec, head of marketing and development at BNP Paribas sees the partnership with AirPlus International as an opportunity to further appeal to the business travel market in France.Ê “With our new partner, AirPlus International, we will benefit from a high technology and customer-orientated solution that will enable us to meet the increasing demands of our corporate customers,” said Robinet-Nemec.

Spencer Hanlon, managing director at AirPlus International UK welcomed the new partnership, commenting, “Thanks to our cooperation with BNP Paribas, the market leader in corporate cards in France, AirPlus makes a giant leap towards its target to become Europe’s clear number one market leader in business travel management by the year 2008. In the UK alone AirPlus has announced 100% year-on-year growth for the third consecutive year.”
