Tour operator technology provider Travelink Systems has appointed David Jones non-executive chairman.Ê He founded Travelink in 1994 and was previously managing director. He is handing over day-to-day management of the company to pursue other interests.

ÊCeri Jones, formerly a board director, has been appointed managing director.Ê He joined Travelink in 2000 from Hicking Pentecost PLC, where he was group finance director from 1990 until the business was acquired in 1999. Before this he held finance positions in several companies, including Aspro Holidays.

“David has been the guiding light at Travelink from day one,” Ceri Jones said. “We are fortunate to retain his expertise in his new role and look forward to growing the company still further in 2005.”

Travelink announced a string of new business successes in 2004.Ê It is also powering the dynamic packaging thrust announced recently by Thomas Cook brands flexibletrips.com, roomsandhotels.com and Club 18-30
