The Italian resort of Ostia is the latest town to install webcams so potential visitors can see what the weather and beach conditions are like before they set out for a visit.
Visitors to Ostia, known as the Harbour of Rome, can also receive text messages on their mobile phones, giving them the latest weather reports from the resort.
