It’s official: Calabash, Grenada, is open for business

It is official the Calabash Hotel, Grenada, has returned to full operation with all of its 30 rooms and 60% of its staff. The resort had already been closed for the remodeling of the Pool Suites when Hurricane Ivan hit and so suffered minimal damage.
Talking to Caribbean Travel News whilst at World Travel Market in London Leo Garbutt, Calabash’s General Manager and proprietor, said “the Hurricane really didn’t affect us that badly - we were very lucky. We sustained no structural damage but we did incur some water damage and foliage damage losing around 40 percent of our trees.”

In its recent renovations, the hotel extended its seven pool suites, enhanced the major pool and tennis court along with the extension of the beach bar.

The Calabash restaurant, which is the only Gary Rhodes restaurant outside of the UK, is open for dinner.
