Fairmont Upgrades at Banff Springs
MICROS Systems, Inc. , a
leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality
industry, is pleased to announce that Fairmont Hotels and Resorts has
chosen the MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management System (HMS) with NetVupoint
for The Fairmont Banff Springs in Alberta, Canada, giving the resort
better functionality and solid integration to the MICROS OPERA property
management system currently installed. To preserve the large investment The Fairmont Banff Springs made in
hardware, the MICROS 9700 HMS was installed on the existing IBM 4695
terminals, replacing the legacy software. With the addition of NetVupoint,
the MICROS 9700 HMS real-time web-based reporting solution, Fairmont will
have visibility of guest movements throughout the property and will be
able to track trends. These added capabilities, in addition to the tight
integration with MICROS OPERA, made the MICROS 9700 HMS the natural choice
for Fairmont’s next generation, advanced point-of-sale system.
“Few hotels in the world can rival the majesty, hospitality and scenery of
The Fairmont Banff Springs,” stated Vineet Gupta, Fairmont’s Vice
President of Technology. “With this reputation comes the expectation of a
superior guest experience. By upgrading to the single solution offered by
MICROS, our guests, along with their information, move fluidly through the
hotel, allowing us to proactively serve them throughout the entire resort.”
“The tight integration between MICROS 9700 HMS and MICROS OPERA was one of
several key benefits for Fairmont,” stated Jenny Kurdle, Sr. Vice
President, MICROS Leisure and Entertainment. “We look forward to future
installations of MICROS 9700 HMS and NetVupoint to Fairmont and providing
a better solution for all of its food and beverage operations.”
