Altamer Villas Anguilla - the ultimate Christmas gift

If you are feeling especially generous this Christmas Altamer, Villas for the Connoisseur in Anguilla, is offering a discrete, week-long slice of beach front heaven for a mere US$500,000. A stylish enclave of three, luxurious private villas, Altamer is strikingly designed by the renowned American architect Myron Goldfinger. It eclipses the standards of a private beach mansion with its high design, private butler service and superior balance of secluded luxury and elegant island living. In October 2004 the latest showcase villa, christened The African Sapphire, opened and completed the plan for the exclusive property.

For $500,000, Altamer’s “Ultimate Caribbean Escape” is an all-inclusive week for 32 guests in three beach front residences with use of a private jet from New York or Los Angeles, butler service, dinners by the former chef of Maxim’s in Paris and much more.

The journey begins on board a private plane, Boeing 727-200. This aircraft has been used by various heads of state, sports figures, dignitaries and “A” list Hollywood personalities. Formerly a commercial jet, the plane has been converted to a 32 passenger executive aircraft at a cost nearly $22 million. Its features include three staterooms, stand up bar, 42 inch plasma theater monitor in the main salon complimented by a Dolby Digital(TM) 5.1 surround system. The interior ceiling has special effects to create sky for day and starlight for the evening.

It has a state-of-the-art navigation and communication system, as well as long range fuel tanks that permit nearly seven hours of continuous flight. There are also outward-looking cameras and a host of security systems.

Upon arrival at Altamer, guests will enjoy private in-villa dining, choosing a different locale for each spectacular meal by Altamer’s award winning Executive Chef Maurice Leduc, formerly of Maxim’s in Paris, and his team.

From Anguillian lobster and crayfish to caviar, fabulous menus will be created to the guests specifications. There will be a private concert by one of the top Reggae stars, Bankie Banx. An Anguillian, Bankie Banx has toured internationally and performed with Bob Dylan, Jimmy Cliff and has produced many of his own CD’s. There will be private lessons and a concert by Michael “Dumpa” Martin on Steel Pans.

If children are in the group, he can bring his smaller pans for the children’s lessons. There will also be a Calypso Contest at Altamer where you’ll be the judge of the contestants.

A luxurious chartered Catamaran boat will be available for sailing off to St. Martin for the day, or for a day of classic Caribbean sport fishing, followed by a private island barbecue of the day’s catch with the help of our chefs.

For those who prefer to remain ensconced at the villa, Chef Leduc will offer cooking lessons and an elaborate confection. We’ll even send you home with a keepsake from the Altamer Collection of museum quality, table top treasures designed by June Goldfinger and specially commissioned by Altamer.
