Expedia Enters into Airport Lounge Agreement

12th Nov 2004

Servisair/GlobeGround announced today an agreement with Expedia Inc. to provide access to 12 high quality Executive Lounges at eight European airports to expedia customers as well as to all expedia partner’s websites worldwide.
Expedia customers now have the capability to pre-book access to Lounges where they can work or relax before their flight, irrespective of airline or class of travel at a range of major airports.

Each Lounge offers a selection of complementary beers, wines and spirits, beverages, snacks and business facilities including e-mail, internet access, telephones and fax machines.

“This is a mutually beneficial relationship as Expedia extends Servisair/GlobeGround’s reach to today’s informed and independent travellers,” said Darren Harding, Director of UK Sales, Servisair/GlobeGround.

The agreement enables Servisair/GlobeGround to reach the 6 million monthly visitors shopping for travel on Expedia.co.uk.

“We are excited about working closely with Servisair/GlobeGround, Europe’s largest independent operator of airport Lounges, whose quality facilities will now be accessible to our customers,” said Diego J. Lofeudo, Sr. Sales Manager, Expedia Destination Services, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Offering Lounges will enable Expedia customers to escape from busy airport terminals to a quality environment.”
