Austrian Airlines Joins THOR’s Preferred Vendor Program

THORÊtoday announced the addition of Austrian Airlines to its Preferred Vendor Program. With the addition of this leading international carrier as a preferred vendor, THOR agency subscribers will now have a wider selection of airline vendors in the program to accommodate their clients’ travel needs.
Additional vendor relationships enable THOR agencies to increase profits through a growing number of negotiated discounts and overrides. By partnering with leading vendors in the travel industry, THOR is able to offer travel agents and consumers significant savings. In addition, THOR’s partners benefit from increased exposure to this constituency.

“Participating THOR agencies will now earn a commission on air travel booked with Austrian Airlines, bringing an exceptional value to our agency subscribers,” said Jeff Scott, general manager, THOR. “Our Preferred Vendor Program continuously increases in value by providing exclusive promotions, discounts and benefits, creating an extraordinary program for both vendors and agencies.”

Members of THOR’s Preferred Vendor Program realize considerable marketing and distribution opportunities to help generate additional business from participating THOR agencies. For example, in addition to being featured in THOR’s annual Preferred Vendor Catalog and desk reference, vendors can take advantage of a weekly broadcast fax and an e-mail newsletter. These materials are distributed to a targeted list of booking agents who opt into the program.
