Grenada welcomes new cruise ship

Following Brenda Hoods (Minister of Tourism for Grenada) indication earlier this week that the island is in ‘the rebuilding phase’ Grenada has welcomed its first cruise ship on Nov. 9. The Norwegian Cruise Line’s 2,000-passenger Norwegian Spirit arrived into the capital of St. George’s. Passengers were given the red carpet treatment and shuttled around the island in pre-organised tour vehicles. The visited sites had been inspected and certified as ready to accept visitors.

It is reported that tourism officials are highly optimistic that the cruise sector will now resume service on a regular basis.
