Caribbean show of strength at WTM

With World Travel Market (WTM) celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Caribbean Village has been highly visible at this year’s event which will tie-up tomorrow, Nov. 11. World Travel Market is a leading business-to-business forum of the international travel industry. It attracts over 40,000 industry professionals each year.
“World Travel Market provides a unique opportunity for the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and its members to reach the travel industry and the media,” said Julia Hendry, CTO’s director of marketing for Europe. “Throughout the event, we have been actively working with both our public and private sector membership, along with the
UK and European travel trade, to ensure that maximum awareness is created throughout the show to increase trade awareness both of the CTO UK Chapter and the Caribbean region as a whole.”

A regular feature at WTM each year is the Caribbean Village, brightly coloured stands designed like chattel houses which surround a central area where participants come together to meet and discuss and do business. .

“The Caribbean Village once again proudly flys the flags of over 30 Caribbean destinations and a greater than ever number of industry associates,” Ms. Hendry noted. She added that the Village, with the CTO stand (CA5000) at its heart, includes representatives from over 45 destinations, hotels, airlines and tourism associations.
