Sandals showcase ‘Total Immersion’ Cinema

In order to keep agents selling at their best Sandals, the Caribbean’s leading all-inclusive, have showcased a brand new way in which to train agents with ‘Total Immersion’ Cinema. The new system was aired for the first time at World Travel Market. The new technology allows for a larger frame rate and therefore more detail to be seen by the viewer. Bobby Stewart - Sandals MD said; “This is the first time this technology has been used in the travel industry. It will really help agents understand the Sandals product.”

The cinema system will be used as training program for travel agents. The technology was used for screenings of Star Wars in London and runs at a 24 frame rate allowing the viewer to see six times the detail of conventional television. “If it’s good enough for Star Wars then it is good enough for us” said Stewart.

Sandals are still working on ironing out all of the kinks so that the finished product will be industry leading. It is expected to be complete by next year when it will go on a road show across the country. “The best way for an agent to learn about Sandals is to go there - however it is not possible to get every agent to our resorts - so this is the next best thing” Bobby stated.

Agents can work towards getting to a Sandals resort by taking part in the training.
