RoomRez today announced its agreement to power the web business for the Mykonos, Athens and Santorini Hotels Association.
The deal with the three Greek associations is the latest win for RoomRez, following the company’s European launch in October 2004. The hotels association chose RoomRez after recognizing the need to automate booking requests from their destination portals to increase the look to book ratio of consumers searching for hotels. As the only company to offer such a superior multi lingual online reservation system including Greek, as well as 20 other languages, RoomRez won the account following a two-way pitch.
The Hotels Association uses RoomRez’s flagship product, RezEngine to enable individual hotels and small chains across Greece as a destination to exploit the internet as a technology and distribution platform in order to gain incremental revenue by leveraging the destination portals and their brands.
Clifford Giles, RoomRez’ VP of sales and marketing Europe says: “We’re excited to add Mykonos, Athens and Santorini Hotels Association to our growing list of clients - especially in an Olympic year.
“Greece is making huge strides into attracting new visitors to its destinations, as evidenced by its brand sponsorship of WTM and following the success of the Olympic Games.”
Adds Andreas Fiorentinos, President of Mykonos Hotels Association (www.mykonosgreece.com
): “We are very pleased to have chosen RoomRez for our Hoteliers Association on-line reservation system. The system gives our members the power and flexibility to use the internet in the most effective way - we are the first Hotelier Association in Greece to use this technology and everybody is really excited by the results. ”
