Cendant Corporation has announced that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust
Improvement Act of 1976, as amended (HSR Act), relating to its proposed
acquisition of Orbitz, Inc. has expired.  As previously
announced, Cendant’s tender offers for Orbitz currently are scheduled to
expire at 12:00 midnight, New York City time, on Wednesday, November 10, 2004.
